Spelling Bee Games Online
Spelling Stars is the perfect way to practice for a spelling bee using games. We use your words or our words to populate our spelling games. In other words, you can use your lists with our games!
How to Create a Spelling Bee List
- Log in as the teacher (or parent/caregiver teacher) – Register now for a free trial | view pricing
- Create lists or import our grade-level lists. If you are creating your own spelling bee lists, we recommend breaking them up into 15 to 20 words. Otherwise, it will take longer to complete each game.
- Assign lists (you can assign one or many lists at the same time)
- Your student/s will log in, go to the Games button, and start playing games with their spelling bee words.
- You can assign the lists you make as tests also to give your students additional spelling practice.
- Bonus: your students can use the practice button to see and hear each word, then type each word. Our practice page provides an excellent way to introduce your student to each spelling bee list you’ve created.
- Super Bonus: You can record your own voice for each word and supporting sentence if you like!
Once logged in as the teacher (or parent-teacher), you can create lists by copying and pasting existing lists if you have them. Then, you simply check those lists out to your students. If you don’t have lists, you can import our lists by grade level to practice. You can also import more than one grade. You can assign lists to a group of students or individual students. Once you have assigned a list, your student can log in and click on the games button to play all of our games with your lists.
